Mindfulness in the Time of Covid

Streaks of white smudge the blue sky

Masked walkers smile with their eyes

Bullfrogs croak their sad lament

Air infused with bushland scent

Children play amongst the trees

Wind is rustling through their leaves

Dogs on leads sniff at the grass

Cyclists tinkle bells as they pass

I'm drinking in nature's vibe

Feeling grateful I'm alive
